Tahrin Aman, is a distinguished businessman working within Aman Group of Companies Ltd. He is the Managing Director of Aman Spinning Mills Ltd., an export oriented textile yarn manufacturing company. He is also the Managing Director of Arena Securities Ltd., a brokerage firm that provides electronic share trading platform in Stock Exchange Ltd. He is the Director of Desh General Insurance Ltd., a public company listed in the Stock exchange. Tahrin Aman is also a member of the Board of Trustee of Presidency University, a private university located in the capital Dhaka
Tahrin Aman is involved in various social welfare activities throughout Bangladesh. CHILD Foundation is a non-profit organization founded by him and his wife Anowara Aana Aman, which caters to helping children, youth and adult with mental disability. He has initiated many events and programs with a goal to create awareness, eradicate disability discrimination and promote equal rights at both academic and work environment. Tahrin Aman has a passion in this field and envisions to start a one stop service facility throughout Bangladesh where children, youth and adult with mental disabilities can get the help they need. He strongly believes that enriching the local specialists and practitioners with best practices available around the world can create an environment where individuals with special needs can get the opportunity and resources necessary to flourish and achieve their fullest potential.
Prior to joining Aman Group of companies, he completed his Undergraduate & Masters from Boston College, Massachusetts, USA. He was awarded the Hutchinson Memorial Award from the Dean of Boston College for his outstanding performance in the academic field. In addition to CHILD Foundation, Tahrin Aman is also a part of Aman Foundation. Aman Foundation has a medical facility that provides kidney dialysis free of cost to low-income patients. This foundation is also engaged in youth skill development, which includes but not limited to, providing training and job upon completion in electrical, plumbing and more.
