Successful Completion of Workshop on “Intervention for Children’s Articulation Difficulties” Facilitator: Fida Al-Shams (Founder Member & President, Society of Speech and Language Therapists-SSLT) Moderator: Anowara Aana Aman, Co-Founder & Secretary, CHILD Foundation
Children with articulation disorders have trouble with the motor functions required to make certain speech sounds. They can’t coordinate their lips, tongue, teeth, palate (roof of their mouth), and lungs to produce certain sounds. They may form distorted speech sounds or swap out sounds they can’t make. Intervention for children’s articulation difficulties is crucial for clear communication, language development, and long-term success. Early support prevents frustration, promotes literacy, and boosts confidence, setting a strong foundation for future communication skills and social interactions. Keeping all these crucial points in mind CHILD Foundation successfully executed this workshop for parents and special educators on the 31st of May, 2024.
